Armenia: Soil Amelioration Project

This 3-year project is funded by USDA FAS and is currently underway in collaboration with the Armenian State Agrarian University (ASAU). The objective is to decontaminate the soil from heavy metals and carbonates due to emissions from cement factories in three regions of the country. Farmers will then re-cultivate the land with food and feed. Project findings will be disseminated to farmers through extension services affiliated with ASAU.
