Ukraine: Food Processing Quality Improvement and Product Development
Consortium specialists conducted a project to work with the Myrgorod cannery in Central Ukraine in 2006 on improving the quality of existing food products and on developing new products. The project included job training for the technical staff on various topics that included food quality, food safety, and food packaging. Part of the assignment was to also work on negotiating forward contracts with several farmer associations that supply the cannery with vegetables. The project was funded by USAID and managed by CNFA.
