Ethiopia: Food Security and Economic Growth (FSEG) in the Benishangul Region

Paul Sommers is currently serving as the chief strategist and architect for the Canadian Government funded Food Security and Economic Growth Project (FSEG) in the Benishangul Region (BSG) of Ethiopia. The aim of the five-year, seven agency, $20 million project is to improve the livelihoods of 25,000 farming families by enhancing the productivity of the farming systems. The inter-agency plan is to work in partnership with the BSG Government outreach staff and community based organizations to upgrade their skills, which will improve their delivery of services to farming families.
